For years there have been secret missions that the American government has always shied away from. While these missions were pertinent to the safety of the country, and even the world, the American government couldn't risk sending their top brass celebrity heroes to handle these projects; their best heroes were too recognizable, and could have been instantly linked to the American government if caught. The government needed ghosts and shadows to handle these missions, and they had to be unknowns to the American people and world at large. Thus four neo-humans were recruited to form a small covert operations team called Earth Guard.
Neo-human Defense Corporation (NDC): Headed by Donovan Baines, the NDC is a nation wide conglomerate that recruits neo-humans to work for the American government, which often involves defending the country (and world at times) against other neo-humans with terroristic and/or criminal intent. There are multiple sub-divisions within the NDC that are equipped to deal with neo-human dilemmas ranging from crime investigation to covert operations dealing with the more phenomenal.
